1 of the most difficult courses I played. Be prepared to hike a little bit.

BCSP now has mostly all turf fields except for 9 at the top by the dog park and the very first one on the bottom left. Thank you City of Asheville or Buncombe County! It has a 18-hole frisbee-golf course throughout the park and there seems to always be someone playing there. Field 8 is at the very top and those bathrooms are the new ones. Typically there is a walking trail around the lower fields which should be back when they are done working on those soccer fields. Also outdoor exercise equipment around.

Could be a great football park except: 1. The academies hog it and threaten to call the cops even if you use a parts of the pitch that are free. 2. The grass fields are in awful condition and the goals are always locked up. 3. No lights on the grass fields which is obviously not a good idea 4. lots of dangerous divots on the grass fields calling for injury’s β€œPublic Park” is very misleading considering there’s often no where to play unless you want a beaten field with no goals. ++ Even when these fields attract lots of people and you can’t even maintain them or provide the basics is pretty disheartening. Glad my tax dollars go towards the poor condition pitches and when ABYSA/HFC gets millions of dollars of funding plus more after the hurricane, combing with the other academies. Stop allowing the academies to hold our public parks hostage. Final: Pay to play football in America is not a step forward for the future and never will be .

Not the easiest to find the entrance off the main road. Fields are new but I didn't see a permanent bathroom near field 8. Only a portapotty. Ample parking and nice backdrop of the mountains.

Scenic and spacious sports complex nestled amongst the trees and hills of Asheville. We played a soccer tournament here over the weekend and loved the green, lush grass on the fields. The parking was a bit tight but everything else was great. There’s a large shelter with picnic tables, a few playgrounds for the younger kids, and a walking trail around the complex…great for getting your steps in between games. The shack bar has a few items for drink and eat, and the bathrooms are clean. There’s also a disc golf course with holes throughout the complex.
